Briggs Stratton Generator Engines
Winco Inc one of the worlds renowned
portable genset producers, has come out with a range of five generator sets
with power output ranging from 3kva to 9kva.
The top end models DL6000I and
DL6000IE are capable of taking a continuous load of 5.5kw at 120 or 240 volts.
Both the models use a Briggs & Stratton InTex engine of 11 hp capacity
being capable of starting a 1.5 hp motor. The genset has a 4.5 gallon tank
which allows continuous operation for 8.5 hours at half load and approximately
5 hours at full load. The unit provides 20 amp rated 120 volts receptacles and
a single 30 amp receptacle for 120/240 volts operations with a twist lock. The
sets weigh around 140 pounds and are encases in a sturdy metal pipe chassis.
The DL900E the highest rated set is
capable of delivering 8kw of continuous load at 120/240 volts operations. This
model also carries a Briggs & Stratton Vanguard engine which has of power
rating of 16 hp and is capable of starting a motor of up to 4 hp. The 4.5
gallon tank allows continuous operation of the generator set at half load and
for about 3 hours at full load. The set weighs a hefty 275 pounds and provides
for 20 amp rated 120 volts receptacles and a single 30 amp receptacle for
120/240 volts operations with a twist lock.
Winco Inc has chosen Briggs &
Stratton engine for its top end models due to the very fact that these engines
are smaller in size, less in weight and more fuel efficient than the Honda
engines used by Winco in their other models of the genset range offered. Briggs
& Stratton are the pioneers of small sized engine technology and even has
formed alliance with Hero Honda of India to produce small engines in India.
